Ruth Ann Harnisch is a writer, investor, coach, and philanthropist who founded ""The Harnisch Foundation"", which runs the Awesome Without Borders Chapter of the Awesome Foundation. She is the founding funder of The Institute of Coaching at Harvard, the annual International Coaching Research Forum, as well as The Coaching Commons, a worldwide forum for coaching news and commentary. Harnisch is a proponent of creative philanthropy whose unusual charitable investments have landed her on The Oprah Winfrey Show and The Today Show. She was previous a reporter and anchored at the CBS-TV affiliate in Nashville, TN, a daily talk-radio program on WLAC-AM, and was a columnist for 17 years for the Nashville Banner.
